For a fun way to explore Port Washington's history and the shipwrecks off our coast, visit the Port Washington Historical Society (205 N Franklin St). Use the digital kiosks to click your way through the city's industrial, agricultural, commercial fishing, and maritime history.
The Resource Center features a rotating exhibit highlighting different aspects of Port Washington history.

Beyond the the city limits, there are more historic sites for history buffs. Explore Pioneer Village, a living museum featuring 24 restored buildings from the 1800s and early 1900s. Stroll through historic downtown Cedarburg on the picturesque Cedar Creek, and stop at Paramount Square in Grafton to learn about the shared history of Paramount Records right here in Port Washington and Grafton.
